Overview
Bioaxial is a Paris-based developer of super-resolved fluorescence microscopy focused on extended imaging of live cells. Its core product is an optical microscopy module that enables super-resolution observation of living cells over time without damaging them and can be adapted as an add-on for commercial microscopes. The module was tested at the Institut Pasteur for the prior 12 months. The company intends to use proceeds from the completed €1.9m equity funding to launch this first product, expected in the second half of 2014. Founded in 2010, Bioaxial has filed four patents and acquired a fifth and currently employs five people.
