Bios develops neural interface technologies that combine hardware, big data and machine learning/AI to pursue new treatments across organs and nerve systems. The company is based in Cambridge, U.K., and also maintains an R&D office in Montreal, Canada. Bios was co-founded by Emil Hewage and Oliver Armitage. In May 2018 the company raised $4.5m in seed funding to support its development. The funds are intended to scale its technical team and further develop its core neural interface technologies. Investors in the round include several venture firms and angels co-leading and participating in the seed round.
