BIYU is a rental platform that offers subscription access to equipment for gardening, parties, cleaning, and kitchens from leading brands. Customers pay a fixed monthly fee to access products such as Festool power tools, Pioneer DJ sets, STIHL gardening tools, Kärcher washers, and Makita equipment. The company positions itself as a circular-economy service that maximises product utilisation and returns products to manufacturers for recycling. BIYU plans to launch its rental platform without membership in 2022 and to open ten new BIYU hubs across and outside the Netherlands by 2023. It has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Seedrs to allow public participation in its circular model. Financially, BIYU secured €1.9M in a Seed round and has now raised €2.6M in total seed investment.
