BizAway provides a travel booking solution designed for corporate travel, led by CEO and co-founder Luca Carlucci. Its signature feature, BizzyFlex, lets business travelers cancel any booking up to three hours before departure/check-in by paying a 10% fee and receive up to an 80% refund. The platform integrates numerous rail providers (Renfe, SNCF, SBB/CFF/FSS) and Iryo to promote sustainable transportation and make European train itineraries easier to manage. BizAway has over 220 employees across eight offices (Spilimbergo, Milan, Padua, Barcelona, Vigo, Shkodër, Tirana, and Dubai). Since inception it has facilitated more than 1,500,000 bookings and generated over €15 million in savings for its 1,600+ corporate clients, including names such as European Cricket, BDO, Vortice, Venchi, Satispay, Perrigo, WeRoad, and others. The company recently signed a partnership with Telepass to offer BizAway’s flights inventory to Telepass’s private customers and intends to use the new funds to continue expanding operations and business reach. BizAway provides a platform to manage and organize business travel, giving companies access to booking tools and a multilanguage team that communicates directly with suppliers. The system has enabled over 35,000 bookings and delivered over €1M in savings for more than 400 companies, including Casavo, Credimi, Freeda, Penta, Cimolai, Rizzani de Eccher and Satispay. The company operates from Spilimbergo, Italy and Barcelona, Spain, and was co-founded by Luca Carlucci and Flavio Del Bianco. BizAway had 35 employees across its locations and reached over €3.5M in turnover in 2019. With the new funds it plans to enhance the platform, implement new tools, expand into new markets and consolidate in Italy. The company intends to hire 25 additional staff, bringing the team to 60 people.
