Its core offering centers on coffee and matcha, with sales increasingly concentrated in the afternoon and evening trading windows. The company is repositioning itself as a "daily luxury" brand and is rethinking menu, hospitality, store design and operating flow to serve more dayparts. Management plans to expand on the U.S. west coast into affluent California neighborhoods and broaden menu items to include products such as ice cream. The firm reported strong consumer demand for out-of-home coffee and matcha as tailwinds for growth. Blank Street is backed by investors including General Atlantic, Left Lane Capital, General Catalyst and Tiger Global and is valued at about $650 million after the latest raise.
