Blokable develops connected housing at scale via a vertically integrated development platform that covers design, planning, financing, permitting, near-complete manufacturing, delivery, on-site construction and operational support. Its proprietary building system is currently produced in the company’s first factory in Vancouver, Wash. The company partners with land owners, investors and nonprofit housing service providers seeking more efficient alternatives to traditional development. Blokable is led by co-CEOs Nelson del Rio and Aaron Holm and recently added YB Choi to its board. After closing a $23M Series A, it is expanding its product development team and adding a second manufacturing facility in the Sacramento area. The company plans to use the funds for product development and manufacturing expansion to support its West Coast project pipeline.
