The company offers clinical-grade NGS panels covering more than 2,200 disorders across 14 medical specialties and combines testing with analysis to link variant data to phenotype details. Blueprint works with more than 450 hospital customers in over 40 countries, building a large underlying genetic database to support interpretation. It received up to €14m in funding and will use the proceeds to accelerate growth, strengthen sales, expand geographic presence, increase sequencing-platform efficiency, and continue development of its software component and data pool to improve interpretation. Blueprint Genetics provides a clinical grade genetic diagnostics platform that leverages a proprietary next-generation sequencing (NGS) technology developed at Stanford University. The company entered the market in 2013 with diagnostics for inherited cardiovascular disorders. Today it serves more than 60 hospital customers in 10 countries and is continuing to expand its product and geographic reach. Blueprint Genetics is launching a US office to boost sales in North America as part of its international expansion. The company intends to use the new funding to accelerate that international expansion. The business is led by CEO Tommi Lehtonen.
