Bon Air Club
4 Rue Voltaire, Nantes, 44000, France
Overview
Bon Air Club positions itself as a four-season accommodation concept that bridges camping’s immersion in nature with the amenities of an urban hotel. Its first 10-hectare resort, slated to open in the Alpes Mancelles (Sarthe) in July, will feature 40 wood lodges built by Vendée manufacturer Cistébois and designed to host two to eight guests. The sites emphasize an ‘outdoor spirit,’ offering activities such as trail running, hiking, canoeing and tree-top adventure courses, and aim to attract families, groups of friends and corporate seminar clients. Founded by Ségolène Desplanques with partners Grégory Thibord and Pierre-Yves Le Gal, the company emerged from the Nantes start-up studio Imagination Machine. Looking ahead, management is already in exclusive talks for a second location and targets opening four to six resorts in France and neighboring countries by 2030. The recent €7 million funding enables Bon Air Club to acquire its first property and finance lodge construction, setting the stage for additional capital needs as new sites are developed.
