Appboxo provides a Miniapp SaaS platform (with SDKs and APIs) and a marketplace that lets developers build or integrate mini-apps into larger super apps. It also offers Shopboxo, a product launched about a year ago that enables businesses to create customizable online stores from mobile devices in under 30 seconds. The company powers more than 400 mini-app integrations (mostly built by third-party developers) and is used by 10 super apps across Southeast Asia, India and South Africa, with a combined user base of over 500 million. Appboxo’s clients include GCash, Paytm and VodaPay, and the platform is primarily used for e-commerce integrations. The startup plans to scale the number of mini-apps into the thousands by expanding its merchant base of SMEs and to grow its international presence starting in the Asia‑Pacific region, then into Europe and the United States. Recent funding will be used to further develop Shopboxo and expand the merchant ecosystem. Appboxo is a Singapore-based startup that offers a platform and SDK to allow any developer to turn their app into a mini-app and enable host apps to act as super apps. Many of its current users are in Southeast Asia, it already has partners in Europe, and it plans to target India. Appboxo positions itself to broaden access to mini-app ecosystems that are today largely siloed within single companies or apps.
