brainjo builds immersive, evidence-based VR Digital Health Applications designed to be prescribed by therapists or physicians and reimbursed by health insurers. Its solutions are intended to complement traditional psychotherapy by improving patient adherence and enabling accessible, at-home therapy. The company is developing its first VR DiGA for children with ADHD in collaboration with MEDICE – The Health Family. brainjo has secured €2 million in seed funding to finance a clinical study and pursue regulatory approval for that initial application. Market approval for the first DiGA is planned for 2028. The startup is headquartered in Regensburg and is backed by strategic partners and business angels alongside lead investor High-Tech Gründerfonds.
