Brick offers a suite of APIs — Brick Data, Brick Verification and Brick Payments — that let fintechs verify identity, underwrite credit and disburse funds by connecting to local data sources. The company has built more than 25 discrete data connections in Indonesia, supporting over 13 million API calls and nearly one million consumers per month for more than 50 paying clients. Its customers span online lenders, personal financial management apps, bookkeeping and accounting tools, investment firms, banks and large conglomerates like Sinarmas Group and Astra Financial. Founded in 2020 by CEO Gavin Tan and CTO Deepak Malhotra, the team draws on founders' neobank experience (Aspire and Slice). Brick has broadened beyond banking to cover mobile wallets, e-commerce, telcos and government social security data to address Indonesia's large unbanked/underbanked population. The company plans to double down in Indonesia and expand regionally into Singapore and the Philippines.
