424 Church Street, Suite 2400, Nashville, 37219
Overview
BRIDGE CONNECT operates an online matching platform that helps secondary‑school students find and secure volunteer placements with NGOs and social enterprises. The team also uses the platform to recruit volunteers for online tasks such as social‑media management, article writing, research, and data entry. The founders are eight Sixth Form A‑Level students from HELP International School who created the project in 2023 and used it to support work on a Malay‑to‑English braille dictionary; the prototype for that dictionary was completed in Q1 2023. The team received RM50,000 in funding from 1337 Ventures and has used the money to register the business, hire a company secretary, open a business bank account, and run on‑ground marketing. BRIDGE CONNECT is building an official website and plans to transition operations by hiring juniors from HELP International School as interns to manage events and sustain the student volunteering community. The platform is run entirely online, allowing the founders to continue development while they matriculate to universities abroad.
