Overview
Founded in 2016 by Tanmay Pandya, Brisil Technologies is a climate-tech company that produces highly dispersible and precipitated silica from rice husk ash, an agricultural bio-waste. Its proprietary, zero-waste process replaces river sand and quartz, cutting greenhouse-gas emissions and enabling greener products such as low-friction tyres and more durable footwear. Brisil currently operates a commercial facility with a capacity of 400 tonnes of silica per month and services both domestic and international customers in the tyre and footwear sectors. The firm reports a monthly demand pipeline of about 6,000 tonnes and intends to scale capacity to 3,000–5,000 tonnes per month. Future plans include expanding its global footprint, particularly in Southeast Asia and Europe, and enlarging its team to support growth. By creating a circular economy for the silica industry, Brisil positions itself against incumbents like Solvay, Evonik, Tata Chemicals and Madhu Silica.
