Calpech developed a patented technology that converts agricultural residues into carbon-encapsulated iron nanoparticles. Its nanomaterials target applications in environmental remediation, renewable energy and sustainable agriculture. The company has launched products including Ce-in Biogas, a liquid additive that can increase biogas production by up to 40%, and Ce-in Desulf, which can reduce hydrogen sulfide (H2S) presence by up to 99%. Calpech is pursuing industrialization and plans to expand production capacity supported by the current fundraising. The firm is a spin-off of the University of Alicante and is connected to the Parque Científico de Alicante. Financially, it is in an open funding round seeking €1.4 million and has just received a €400,000 tranche from BeAble Capital, bringing that investor's total commitment to €1 million.
