Cansativa Group builds B2B tools and a marketplace to manage the cannabis value chain, from import and distribution to pharmacy fulfillment and related logistics. Founded in 2017, the company serves thousands of pharmacies in Germany and also distributes equipment and ancillaries to pharmacy customers. Cansativa provides first- and third-party marketplace tools, vendor and customer qualification, quality verification, track-and-trace, and business intelligence aimed at creating a regulatory-compliant ecosystem. The company holds an exclusive four-year partnership with the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and is the only firm permitted to distribute domestically grown medical cannabis under that agreement. Cansativa’s leadership says it is positioning itself as the “Amazon” of cannabis in Europe and aims to be the operating backbone for cannabis retail and industry. The company plans to expand its medical product portfolio and build out a recreational cannabis strategy ahead of Germany’s proposed legalization.
