In March 2025 CMG closed a strategic $30 million Series C to support growth. The company plans a 2025 expansion focused on enhanced global data capabilities, support for new asset classes, and advancement of straight-through processing (STP) solutions. CMG positions its centralized, real-time platform as an alternative to distributed, asynchronous processes to improve operational efficiency across buy-side and sell-side firms. Capital Markets Gateway (CMG) is a fintech firm that modernizes the equity capital markets by connecting investors and underwriters via a neutral, connected ECM platform. CMG launched XC™, described as the first connected ECM platform in the U.S., and offers DataLab™, which provides actionable market intelligence and data analytics. The CMG XC network comprises more than 100 buy-side investment firms representing $20 trillion in AUM and connects with 10 leading investment banks. The strategic capital raise is being used to support CMG’s launch of XC and the company’s planned global expansion in 2022. CMG’s investors include major banks and asset managers who are also clients, reinforcing product-market fit and driving platform adoption. The company was launched in 2017 and is based in New York. CMG offers a neutral ECM platform that connects buy-side firms and underwriters, providing integrated data, analytics, transparency, and workflow efficiencies. Launched in 2017 and led by CEO and co-founder Greg Ingram, the platform is relied upon by nearly 100 buy-side firms representing $12 trillion in AUM and 15 investment banks. The company is based in New York City. The platform’s current focus is expanding digital connectivity between the buy-side and sell-side in the U.S. capital markets. CMG plans to use new funding to support growth and broaden its solution to be the first U.S. ECM platform to provide that digital connectivity. CMG provides a workflow management and real-time data analytics solution for practitioners across the capital markets trading life cycle, including banks, asset managers and broker‑dealers. The platform is designed to improve transparency and connectivity between investors, issuers and underwriters and to replace inefficient tools like email and telephone. More than 80 leading asset managers, representing over $10 trillion in assets under management, rely on CMG’s platform to streamline transactions. The company was founded in 2015 and maintains offices in Chicago, New York and Seattle. CMG has appointed experienced industry executives to senior roles and is hiring across engineering, product development and sales to broaden platform functionality. The firm says it will use new funding to scale its technology and accelerate product initiatives.
