Overview
Carbonaide is a green-tech startup focused on decarbonising the concrete industry through a CO₂-curing process that mineralises and permanently stores carbon inside concrete products. Its technology has been in commercial production since 2024 and is designed to turn concrete factories into net carbon sinks. The company signed agreements in 2025 with Finnish producers Lakan Betoni and Lipa-Betoni to install Carbonaide systems, with production slated to begin at both facilities in early 2026. In January 2026, Carbonaide also sold its first certified carbon credits generated via this mineralisation process. The firm is building the Carbonaide Service Platform, a cloud tool for tracking CO₂ flows, carbon measurements, and issuing carbon credits. Fresh capital will be used to expand global sales, enhance the data and credit platform, and push R&D into ready-mix concrete and next-generation curing technologies. Following its latest €3.7 million raise, Carbonaide plans accelerated international expansion and continued development of carbon-negative concrete offerings.
