Casafari operates a platform that aggregates, verifies and distributes fragmented real-estate data across Europe, enabling sourcing, valuation, underwriting and deal collaboration on single units. Casafari currently runs operations in Portugal, Spain, France and Italy and is used by brokerages and institutional clients including Sotheby’s International Realty, Coldwell Banker, RE/MAX franchises, Savills, Engel & Völkers, Keller Williams, Stoneweg, Kronos, Vanguard and Vic Properties. The startup plans to hunt down single-family homes as an asset class for buy-to-let strategies and to bring more liquidity to fragmented markets lacking a unified MLS. Management says the platform will collect properties into portfolios desired by pension funds and private equity real-estate funds. Financially, the company has raised a $15M Series A and secured a separate $120M buy-to-let mandate from PE investors to deploy into acquisitions. CASAFARI builds a global real estate database using machine learning and big-data operations to make the real estate market more transparent and efficient. The company says it has monitored 4 million unique properties and 15 million listings and is actively used by more than 7,000 real estate agents. It reports annual revenues have grown by more than 600 percent. Founded in 2018 and headed by Mila Suhareva, Nils Henning and Mitya Moskalchuk, the team currently numbers about 70 people. CASAFARI plans to use new funding to expand its team, build custom applications and accelerate internationalisation across Europe. Investors and management view the startup's database and technology as a potential backbone for the real estate industry.
