Overview
Centivax's lead candidate, Centi-Flu 01, is designed to focus antibody and cellular responses on conserved influenza regions to provide broad, durable protection across strains and subtypes. The company initiated Phase 1 clinical studies in February 2026 with nearly all 180 Phase 1a participants enrolled and an ongoing Phase 1 that includes more than 300 subjects with readout expected in 2026. Centi-Flu's planned 500-subject Phase 2 is scheduled to begin in early 2027 to evaluate universal breadth and comparative protective titers versus commercially available seasonal vaccines. Beyond influenza, Centivax is advancing follow-on programs from its epitope-focusing platform toward manufacturing and clinical readiness, including a broad cancer therapy, a malaria vaccine, a universal antivenom, and a broad Alzheimer's preventative. The company plans to deploy a scalable, cell-free manufacturing process into GMP in 2026 to support clinical material and future commercialization pathways. Centivax is headquartered in South San Francisco and has raised prior capital, including a $45 million Series A in June 2025.
