Centric closed a $19m Series C, which strengthens its financial position for product and market expansion. Centric Software provides product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for makers of hard and soft lines in the fashion and consumer goods industries. Its Centric 8 platform delivers functionality to manage product development, sourcing, line planning and profitability management, aiming to cut costs, speed products to market, improve margins and enhance global collaboration and compliance. The company recently introduced the Centric 8 Collection Book for Fashion iPad App, an interactive, patent-pending mobile app. Centric plans to use the $7.5M Series C to accelerate product and business development, advance additional mobile apps for PLM, maintain focus on the luxury fashion sector, and expand in the United Kingdom, France, Italy and New York. The round was led by Oak Investment Partners with participation from Masthead Venture Partners and ABS Ventures. Customers include INTERSPORT France, Christine Laure, Balenciaga, The Coleman Companies, KlimUSA, Bass Pro Shops, Bravo Sports, Longchamp, Silver Jeans and United Stationers. Centric Software provides technology offerings. The company completed a $14.3 million Series B venture capital financing to help ramp up growth and increase market awareness of its technology offerings. The round was led by Insider Oak Investment Partners and joined by Masthead Venture Partners and BancBoston Ventures. With this financing, Centric now has about $47 million in total venture funding. That total follows a 2004 recapitalization that included $33 million from Insider Oak and Masthead. Boston Capital Ventures and BancBoston Ventures were carry-overs from the group of prior investors.
