Founded in 2022 by insurtech specialists Guillaume Laurent and Nicolas Chabauty, Certificall delivers a platform that guarantees the probative value of photos and videos used in claims and industrial inspections. Its technology layers geolocation, a tamper-proof certificate, qualified time stamping, and an eIDAS-compliant signature seal so that every item of evidence is legally valid across the EU. Generating a certified report takes about 90 seconds on average, and the company says it has already processed more than 3 million photos. By positioning itself as a trusted third party ahead of the EU’s planned 80 percent adoption of digital identity wallets by 2030, Certificall aims to become the reference provider of compliant digital proof for document-sensitive sectors. Surging generative AI-enabled fraud—which cost French P&C insurers an estimated €902 million in 2024—underscores the need for its solution. The newly raised capital will fund further technology development and accelerate commercial expansion throughout Europe. Aside from the €1 million seed round, no additional financial metrics have been disclosed.
