Overview

Certiverse provides a platform for organizations to develop and deliver certification exams more cheaply and quickly than traditional testing vendors. The company works with a range of clients, including The Linux Foundation and HashiCorp. Its founders say legacy providers can cost as much as $150,000 and take about a year to create an exam, while Certiverse clients have developed up to 10 exams in one year for less than $10K per exam. Certiverse’s business model generates the majority of revenue after exams are launched and professionals begin taking them. The company was founded in 2023 by Ruben Garcia, Pablo Meyer, and Frederico Lopez; CEO Ruben Garcia previously co-founded and sold Innovative Exams. Certiverse plans to use new capital to add more automation to the platform and scale to launch 1,000 new clients and partners. Certiverse offers an AI-guided online test development system that applies psychometric standards and machine learning while enabling asynchronous contributions from subject-matter experts. The platform is designed to help organizations engage, expand, and diversify their pools of experts, produce valid test content at scale, and create exams with lower environmental impact. Led by CEO and co-founder Ruben Arturo Garcia, the company launched its first live exam with The Linux Foundation in late 2020. That entry-level IT certification was developed in 12 weeks—about one third of the traditional timeframe—and required no upfront content-creation costs. Founded in 2019 and based in Chicago, Certiverse plans to use new funding to expedite scheduled product and service enhancements to its test development system.
