Chasm

Overview
Chasm develops and manufactures advanced materials for printed electronics and battery applications, including a transparent conductive film (TCF) called AgeNT. AgeNT is a hybrid of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and silver nanowires (AgNWs) positioned as a printed hybrid TCF to compete with indium tin oxide (ITO). The company says hybrid TCFs offer superior performance—being more conductive and more flexible—while reducing costs by enabling circuit patterns via commercial printing methods. Uses cited include touchscreens, transparent electrodes for displays and solar panels, touch sensors for appliances and automotive interiors, transparent heaters for defogging, and transparent EMI shielding for industrial and medical devices. Chasm completed an $11M Series A financing and intends to use the funds to expand production capabilities and continue launching new products to penetrate large existing markets. The company is led by CEO and co-founder David Arthur and has an R&D center and manufacturing plant in Norman, Oklahoma, while being based in Canton, Massachusetts.
