Circle Medical

333 1st Street #A, San Francisco, CA, 94105, United States

Overview

Circle Medical offers full‑service primary care both in‑person (San Francisco Bay Area) and via nationwide telemedicine, enabling ongoing relationships for preventive care, chronic condition management, mental health, medications, referrals and urgent issues. All physicians are board‑certified in family or internal medicine and the practice is in‑network with all PPOs and most HMOs without charging membership or extra fees. The company builds its own technology platform to scale care and is affiliated with UCSF and backed by Y Combinator, A. Capital and Collaborative Fund. Leadership (CEO and co‑founder George Favvas) says the new funding will expand platform capacity and increase the number of physicians. Growth plans in the article include more than tripling revenue over the next 12 months and opening 22 clinics across six markets over three years. The service mix and insurance participation aim to make primary care accessible and cost‑effective for insured patients. Circle Medical operates a full-stack medical practice and builds the software to run it, using patient-facing iOS and Android apps to automate scheduling, billing and medical records. Physicians are employed full-time by affiliated practices that operate exclusively on the Circle Medical platform, and physician tools use automation and AI informed by medical data from 20,000 patients. The company powers telemedicine and pop-up clinics at 22 employer sites and runs a flagship clinic across from the Salesforce Transit Center in San Francisco. Funding will be used to scale the company’s employer offering and expand its corporate pop-up clinic footprint. Circle Medical reports a $2.6M annualized revenue run rate, up 3x year over year, and says it is on track to be profitable next quarter. The company emphasizes lower costs and faster innovation through its integrated practice-and-software model. Circle Medical operates an on-demand primary care service that dispatches physicians for non-urgent visits, with each clinician bringing a medical kit and privacy blinds. Patients use the iOS or Android app to scan their insurance card, verify coverage and costs, choose a date/time/location, and track the attending physician. The service covers routine care such as checkups, flu shots, blood work and other standard physician services rather than urgent care. Circle Medical accepts Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield of California, United Healthcare, Aetna, Health Net, and Cigna plans and charges the same copay as a doctor’s office. Services are currently available only in San Francisco with operating hours from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The company raised a seed round to increase brand awareness and marketing.
