The company currently operates over 60,000 mailboxes across cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, and London, and maintains a network of about 7,000 convenience points. Headquartered in Madrid, Citibox positions itself as a neutral operator of urban logistics infrastructure across public and private spaces. It has signed a Europe-wide collaboration agreement with Amazon to allow Amazon customers to receive parcels in Citibox mailboxes with 24/7 access. Citibox says centralizing deliveries at building-level mailboxes reduces delivery trips and can cut CO₂ emissions from last-mile logistics by up to 69%. With the new financing, the company plans to deploy 600,000 additional smart mailboxes, initially targeting Spain and the UK and expanding to other European cities over time.
