CityFibre builds and operates fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) infrastructure across the UK as the largest alternative FTTP provider, with a network spanning 60+ towns and cities. The company is deploying fiber to roughly one third of the UK market and competes with national providers including BT Group (Openreach) and Virgin Media O2. CityFibre aims, by year-end 2025, to have its network pass 8 million UK homes across 285 cities, towns, and villages, and plans deployments to 800,000 businesses, 400,000 public sector sites, and 250,000 5G access points. Financially, the company completed an £825m equity raise and increased debt facilities by £300m, bringing total new capital to £1.125bn. Its existing lender base includes ABN AMRO, Banca IMI (Intesa Sanpaolo), BNP Paribas, Lloyds, NatWest, and Société Générale. Major shareholders include Antin Infrastructure Partners and West Street Infrastructure Partners, with new minority investors joining via the recent raise.
