Claims Carbon is a Stockholm-headquartered software company that helps insurers assess the carbon footprint of their value chains. Founded last year, the company has delivered a Claims Carbon software stack that calculates climate impacts across an insurer’s ecosystem to inform net-zero targets, emissions-reduction programmes, and new net-zero insurance products. The product is offered as part of a SaaS roster and the company says it has signed partnerships with insurers in Northern Europe. Claims Carbon currently operates in eight European markets: Sweden, Finland, Norway, Poland, Belgium, Switzerland, France and Portugal. With a €1.1 million seed raise, the company plans to invest in its product pipeline to bring a stronger offering to its SaaS lineup, hire additional staff, and expand into new product areas and geographies. Its work is positioned alongside evolving industry standards such as the Net Zero Insurance Alliance’s forthcoming global accounting protocol.
