ClariPhy Communications

7585 Irvine Center Dr # 100, Irvine, CA, 92618, United States

Overview

ClariPhy develops ultra-high-speed mixed-signal and digital signal processing (MXSP) semiconductors — single-chip CMOS SoCs — for coherent optical transmission at 40G, 100G and beyond. The company targets enterprise backbone, enterprise data center and telecom optical transport markets and says its products increase reach and tolerance to impairments while reducing cost of ownership. ClariPhy was the first semiconductor vendor to deliver SoCs targeting 40G coherent networks in 40nm CMOS and plans to continue its SoC roadmap leveraging 28nm and smaller geometries to reduce power consumption. The firm emphasizes a broad library of IP, backend integration capabilities, and scalable DSP architecture to enable both standard and custom IC products for OEMs. Headquartered in Irvine, California, with offices in Los Altos, California and Cordoba, Argentina, ClariPhy is positioned to drive volume deployment of coherent transmission technology. ClariPhy develops mixed-signal processors and a new class of single-chip MXSP ICs for optical networking. Its MXSP devices are designed to significantly increase an optical network’s reach and tolerance to impairments such as chromatic dispersion, polarization mode dispersion and fiber nonlinearity while reducing cost of ownership for OEMs and service providers. The ICs target 10, 40, and 100 Gbps networks across enterprise backbone, enterprise data center and telecom environments. The company says it will use the funding to commercialize these MXSP products. ClariPhy is based in Irvine, California and also operates offices in Los Altos, California and Cordoba, Argentina. It secured Series C financing to advance its commercialization plans.
