Clear is building a blockchain-based transaction network aimed at high-volume, cross-border systems like payments between telcos. The platform converts commercial contracts into digital smart contracts to create a trusted, auditable, cryptographically secure single view of pricing and usage for counterparties. That shared view lets partners detect and resolve commercial or service-delivery issues in real time rather than waiting until month-end. Clear says it has proven it can process hundreds of millions of billable events, though it is not yet in full production. The company is initially focusing on global telcos as a test case because of their transaction volume and cross-border complexity, and plans to expand into other verticals after carrier-grade deployment.
