Clearpool is building a decentralized capital markets ecosystem on Ethereum to enable institutions to borrow uncollateralized assets. The protocol is being incubated by digital asset custodian Hex Trust, which will provide custody and compliance services including KYC checks and transaction monitoring for borrowers. Lenders on Clearpool receive rewards and a suite of risk-management solutions while the platform seeks to improve credit assessment via a real-time credit scoring mechanism. The project plans to launch additional features such as decentralized credit derivatives and introduces concepts like single-borrower liquidity pools and tokenized credit. Clearpool raised $3 million from a group of crypto investors to further protocol development and roll out these features.
