Overview

Click&Boat is an online "Airbnb for boats" platform that connects private boat owners, skippers and yacht charter agencies with renters. The company lists about 22,000 boats and has more than 200,000 registered users, and says it has facilitated 60,000 rentals from which owners earned over €40 million. Headquartered on a boat by the river Seine in Paris and founded in 2013, the startup employs roughly 70 people. Click&Boat often offers bookings with skippers (frequently the boat owners) to serve customers without sailing experience. The company reports it has been profitable since 2015 and has doubled its turnover every year. It plans to use the new funding to expand into Russia, the Middle East, and South America and to strengthen positions in existing markets. Click & Boat is an online peer-to-peer boat rental platform founded in 2013 by Edouard Gorioux and Jérémy Bismuth in Paris. The service allows owners to monetize their boats while offering renters less expensive boating experiences. After acquiring its main competitor Sailsharing, the company launched Click & Yacht, an activity dedicated to luxury units. Click & Boat raised €1M from Paris-based investment company Olma Fund and intends to use the funds to develop its leadership across Europe. The company also plans to launch new digital platforms and applications committed to European end-users and to roll out brand-new services. Click & Boat operates a peer-to-peer platform that allows members to rent motor boats, sailboats, catamarans, inflatable boats and jet-skis. The service connects private boat owners and renters across leisure markets. Launched in December 2013 by Edouard Gorioux and Jérémy Bismuth, the company is based in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. It currently operates in France, Greece and Croatia and plans to expand into other European coastal countries in the next few years. Click & Boat claims to have 30k subscribers. The company raised €500k in funding and intends to use the proceeds to grow the team and expand operations.
