Its platform is used by a diverse, global investigations community across government, corporate, law enforcement, not-for-profit and sports organisations. The company plans to use the £4M in new funding to increase commercial and community capacity and to support R&D and product development. The round was led by Frog Capital and included angel and employee investment, with support from ScaleUp Group. Clue was founded by Clare Elford (CEO) and Thomas Drohan (CCO) and is based in Bristol, UK. Clue is a cloud-based investigation case management and intelligence platform that helps organisations prevent harm and secure justice by building intelligence and progressing investigations. The platform originated in policing and is now used across government, private and non-profit sectors to investigate cyber‑crime, fraud, child protection, corruption, environmental crime and cheating in sports. Demand for Clue has more than doubled over the last two years. Clue productises decades of investigation expertise and serves teams facing large volumes and complex data, many of which were still reliant on legacy systems or spreadsheets. With new investment the company plans to strengthen the platform with further AI and ML capability, automation, data insights and business intelligence while continuing to support and build its user community. Clue is led by co-owners Clare Elford (CEO) and Thomas Drohan (CCO), with Nick Harber as CFO and Adam Hale as Chairman.
