Cobli builds fleet-management solutions that leverage artificial intelligence and image-related data to improve vehicle operations. The company is developing video-based features that integrate vehicles into customers' operations and plans to expand capabilities such as facial-recognition and accident-recognition. The new investment of US$20 million (R$100 million) will be used primarily for product development and deeper exploration of AI and image data. Cobli also plans to invest the capital in customer success and in winning larger enterprise clients, targeting fivefold growth over the next three years. Investors are framed as strategic partners to support long-term impact and expansion into areas like urban transport and electric mobility. IFC highlighted Brazil's fleet market potential—more than 10 million light commercial vehicles—and said the investment should help attract private capital and improve fuel efficiency, maintenance costs and accident prevention. Cobli builds IoT- and AI-powered fleet-management software and hardware to give operators visibility and automate workflows across logistics operations. The company connects telematics and sensor data to products such as fuel management, onboard cameras and automated operational processes. Cobli plans to expand its product suite into data-driven offerings, including a usage‑based fleet insurance product priced on real vehicle telemetry. The business says it already connects more than 3,000 companies and has grown from 15 people in 2017 to over 200 employees today, with plans to add more than 300 hires in 2022. The recent capital raise will be used on two fronts: accelerating product development (including new sensors and AI features) and geographic and commercial expansion. Cobli positions itself to enable greater integration across insurers and fuel suppliers through richer operational data, aiming to reduce costs and accidents while improving service levels.
