Cocuus develops industrial 3D printing systems and applications for alternative proteins, including plant-based, cell-based and hybrid meat products. The company has put in place industrial food-printing lines and has worked with large agrifood corporations on new applications. In public communications it highlights having produced early demonstrations such as 3D-printed steaks from meat cells. Cocuus plans to use new capital to expand into strategic international markets and to support partners in scaling printing processes to industrial levels. The company raised a €3 million bridge round with continued backing from investors like Cargill, Big Idea Ventures, Tech Transfer Agrifood and the CDTI. CEO Miguel Arbeloa has positioned the funding as preparing the company’s next growth phase, and the team received local recognition such as the Premio Alimenta Navarra 2023 for Innovation.
