Cointopia has built a marketplace that connects blockchain companies and startups with vetted service providers, including advisory, white paper authoring, PR/marketing, blockchain development, and community management. The San Francisco company raised $3 million to open the Cointopia Marketplace and will store provider ratings on the blockchain so reviews are immutable. CEO Charles Michael Yim created the platform to address what he described as a chaotic, globally unregulated crypto space and to provide an end-to-end, gold-standard market. In addition to the marketplace, Cointopia offers a compliant launchpad for initial coin offerings and lets users upload RFPs, share project details, and receive online bids from curated vendors. The company currently has 10 employees and plans to open offices in South Korea and Singapore to expand into Asia, where it says most activity is occurring. Named initial vendors include Hybrid Block, Sparkchain, and Token Agency.
