Combat Medical develops device-assisted hyperthermic therapies designed to improve the delivery and efficacy of cancer chemotherapies, notably its HIVEC intravesical system for bladder cancer. The company has an installed base of over 350 systems and reports completion of more than 100,000 HIVEC treatments to date. Combat is running the HIVEC HEAT phase 3 pivotal trial aimed at FDA registration for treatment of BCG-unresponsive non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer. It also has clinical programs targeting peritoneal cancer (HIPEC) and plans to expand those as it scales. Recent financing (a £2.6 million Series A first close) is intended to fund the phase 3 trial and preparatory activities for U.S. regulatory submissions and commercial expansion. Management has stated it will pursue future financings to complete FDA registration and grow operations.
