Cometh is a Paris-based blockchain game studio that creates games able to connect with DeFi protocols and a suite of crypto-based tools. The studio builds titles that integrate NFT ownership and yield-generating NFT mechanics to combine DeFi and playable assets. Alongside its funding, Cometh launched its second title, Cometh Battle; its first game, built on Polygon, amassed over 10,000 players according to the company. The new $10 million will be used to expand the platform and user-facing features that enable digital ownership and play-to-earn experiences. Cometh also offers its technology to brands to showcase NFTs, including a partnership to display artist Helena Hauss’s work at the Venice Biennale. Founder Jerome de Tychey framed the work as exploring new possibilities offered by blockchain to enhance traditional games.
