Compost Crew is an organics recycling company led by Ben Parry that provides composting to thousands of businesses, organizations and residential customers throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. The company is based in Rockville, MD. Its core offering is food-scrap collection and distributed composting services built in partnership with area farms. In 2021 the company reached 7,000 customers, quadrupled the capacity of its distributed composting facilities, and rolled out a paid food-scrap drop-off subscription for residential customers. Compost Crew intends to use new funding to accelerate growth of composting in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and beyond. The company recently completed a $5.5M Series A to support these expansion plans.
