Comptek Solutions develops surface engineering technologies for semiconductor device manufacturing, centered on Kontrox, a novel processing technology that improves chip efficiency and reduces production costs. The company was founded in June 2017 as a spin-off of the University of Turku by CTO Jouko Lång and CEO Vicente Calvo Alonso and is based in Turku, Finland. Kontrox is positioned to support rapid adoption of innovations such as 5G/6G communications, AR/VR, mobility, IoT, and quantum computing. Comptek plans to use recent funding to accelerate industrialization and implementation of its technology for next-generation optoelectronics and power electronics. Financially, the company completed an €8m Series A to fund growth and advance its technological innovation. The raise is intended to support commercialization and scale-up of the Kontrox processing technology.
