Overview
Connected Health is a Hamburg-based MedTech startup that developed the LifeTime system — a patient-facing LifeTime App and a hardware LifeTime Hub for medical institutions. The system enables a paperless method of exchanging medical documents and images between physicians and patients. A distinguishing feature is that patients' data remains exclusively on their smartphones rather than being stored in a cloud. The company says the system aims to replace non-digital, analogue processes within medical practices and to lead the medical industry into the digital age. Connected Health was founded at the end of 2014 by Dr. Johannes Jacubeit and IT specialist Matthias Lau. After securing the latest interim financing, the company is currently capitalized at a value of more than €3 million.
