Contxtful Technologies is an attention-based advertising technology company based in Montreal that builds AI-driven solutions to identify receptive users and valuable digital inventory. Led by CEO David Jacobs, its flagship product Receptivity leverages AI to identify the most valuable inventory across the internet by analyzing innumerable micro-patterns of content interactions. Receptivity curates digital inventory by identifying receptive users, which the company says leads to increased revenue and performance. FinSMEs reported on April 7, 2025 that Contxtful raised $1.9M in funding in a round led by NJP Ventures. The company intends to use the funds to enhance its technology, scale operations, and expand its market reach. Contxtful develops products that leverage non-private, sensor-based mobile data to provide insights on mobile users and improve how advertisers and insurers interact with customers. The company is commercializing two initial products: Receptivity, for advertisers and publishers to increase ad campaign performance and ad inventory monetization; and Rituals, for insurers to identify and promote better risk-reducing habits among customers. Led by CEO Guillaume Bouchard and based in Montreal, Contxtful intends to use the $2M seed financing to expand operations. The seed round was led by Fonds Innovexport and included Fonds Québecor Innovation inc., La Capitale Assureur de l’administration publique, Anges Québec, private angels and founding partners. Contxtful is a graduate of TandemLaunch, a Montreal deep-tech incubator.
