CorVent Medical is developing the CorVent Single-Use Ventilator, a smart, single-use device for critical care designed to enable rapid, affordable deployment with improved infection control. The ventilator was designed in partnership with industrial design firm Design Catapult. The device is currently pending Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) from the U.S. FDA and is not yet FDA cleared or approved. CorVent intends to use recent funding to finalize EUA regulatory filings and, upon authorization, launch the CorVent Single-Use Ventilator. The company also plans to use proceeds to support future development of lifesaving devices for respiratory insufficiency. CorVent is led by CEO Mark Gelfand and is focused on commercializing its initial product for critical care settings.
