Crescent Diagnostics Ltd develops novel tests for predicting osteoporotic fracture risk. Its core product, BQT®, is a predictive test designed to enable physicians to diagnose osteoporosis‑related fracture risk using a small nail clipping. BQT® was developed at the University of Limerick. The company plans to run additional clinical trials and use new funding to advance BQT® toward regulatory approval in the US and EU. Crescent recently raised €1.5m in a Series A to support these activities. The company is led by CEO Ernie Poku and added Enterprise Equity partner Eric Reed to its board as part of the financing.
