Overview

Cumulus Neuroscience builds the NeuLogiq platform, which combines a novel dry-sensor EEG headset and tablet-based assessments to measure cognition, mood, and language across multiple domains. The headset received FDA 510(k) clearance in 2023 and is designed for use in clinic and at home, aiding data capture in conditions such as Alzheimer’s where testing can be difficult. The NeuLogiq Platform was developed with input from ten biopharma companies to provide more objective, multi-domain brain-function data than traditional pen-and-paper assessments. The company positions its tools to help biopharma establish baselines, demonstrate target engagement, and identify patient cohorts most likely to benefit from therapies. Cumulus says the funding will support marketing and the scaling of key hires including a Head of B2B Marketing and Sales Operations and a Vice President of Business Development. CEO Tina Sampath has framed the product as addressing a substantial unmet need in neuroscience clinical studies by delivering objective data to advance discovery and development. Cumulus Neuroscience develops AccelADx, an AI-enabled screening test that detects subtle changes in brain waves associated with memory recall to support earlier detection of Alzheimer's dementia. Its NeuLogiq™ platform includes an FDA-cleared and UKCA-marked dry-electrode EEG headset synchronized with tablet-based neuro-assessments for in-clinic or at-home use. The platform is designed to generate multi-domain digital biomarkers and support decentralized CNS clinical trials; it was developed with input from ten leading pharma companies. Cumulus plans to validate AccelADx in the Global Alzheimer's Platform Foundation (GAP) Bio-Hermes 2 Study, gaining regulatory-standard data to support submissions. The company positions AccelADx as complementary to protein biomarkers and scalable for broader clinical adoption. Cumulus is supported by specialized investors DDF/SV Health Investors, LifeArc and Future Fund. Cumulus Neuroscience, formerly BrainWaveBank, provides real-world clinical trial data and AI-powered insights via an integrated biomarker platform co-developed with pharmaceutical companies. The platform captures frequent, longitudinal brain activity measurements synchronized with mobile device-based assessments covering cognition, mood, language and sleep. Its home-usable EEG headset objectively probes neuronal integrity, network connectivity and compensatory brain strategies. Data are securely stored in the cloud and analysed with a machine-learning architecture to combine behavioural, physiological and functional signals. The company intends to use the new funding to accelerate the development of CNS therapies. Ronan Cunningham leads the company.
