Cura Healthcare is a Chennai-based medical technology company focused on the diagnostic imaging space, including sale of pre-owned imaging equipment. It offers pre-owned high-end MRI systems and is developing an indigenously manufactured patented digital radiography system that is undergoing CE certification prior to launch. The company plans to manufacture mobile computer radiography systems for bedside X-ray use to address tier II and III markets affected by infrastructural challenges. Cura is expanding its product portfolio into adjacent spaces and pursuing an inorganic growth agenda, currently evaluating acquisition opportunities. Peepul Capital has been a long‑time investor, having invested $9 million in 2012, and has provided fresh capital to support the company’s expansion. Management says the fresh funding will be used for expansion, organic and inorganic growth, and to strengthen its offerings.
