Cyber-Rain makes an internet-connected irrigation controller system that checks the weather via the internet and automatically adjusts watering schedules. Its system stops sprinklers on rainy days and automatically decreases watering when cold or humid, which the company says can save up to 40% on water bills. Launched in 2007 and based in Los Angeles, Cyber-Rain serves both residential and commercial markets. Since launch the company's controllers have been installed in more than 1,200 residential and commercial sites. The company completed a $1.8M Series B financing round. The round was led by DeWaay Investment Partners with participation from Athenian Venture Partners, Momentum Venture Management and Funk Ventures.
