Overview
DANNCE.AI offers a digital phenotyping platform that uses AI to reconstruct a patient’s movement in 3D from multi-camera video and converts it into quantified, clinician-friendly readouts of movement and behavior. The platform’s behavioral quantification workflow, built on markerless pose tracking, recapitulates doctors’ findings and analyzes gross and fine movement to unlock otherwise inaccessible clinical insights. Clinicians and drug developers can use the outputs to diagnose patients, calculate impairment severity, and monitor change over time. The technology originated at Harvard University (research beginning in 2016) and was further advanced at Duke; the team licensed the platform from both universities in August 2024 to transition it from academic to clinical use. Leadership includes CEO Rob Baldoni, with Dr. Tim Dunn as CSO and Dr. Jesse Marshall as an advisor and co-founder. The company intends to use the funds to expand operations and accelerate development efforts.
