DataChat provides an all-in-one data analytics platform that enables businesses to collect data and make data-driven decisions by chatting with the system using controlled natural language. The product targets nontechnical users who need simple, conversational access to analytics. The company was started as a spin-out from the University of Wisconsin and maintains its headquarters in Madison, Wis. Jignesh Patel is the CEO and co-founder. DataChat has previously received support from America’s Seed Fund and the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF). In July 2021 the company announced a $25M Series A round to advance its offering and operations. DataChat provides a Conversational Intelligence platform that lets business users obtain insights from their data by chatting with the platform, no coding required. Led by CEO and co-founder Jignesh Patel, the company targets non-technical users who need accessible analytics. DataChat closed a $4M seed funding round in October 2020. The round was led by WRVI Capital and Nepenthe Capital, with other participants including individual investors from Google and Palo Alto Networks. The company plans to use the proceeds to scale its team and expand its customer base.
