Led by CEO Amit Bhatia, Datapeople offers a SaaS recruiting predictability platform that starts with optimized job descriptions and extends to reporting and analytics on recruiting processes and performance. Its recommendations are powered by a database of over 65 million job posts and millions of hiring outcomes, analyzing both content and language. The product includes bias guidance that identifies eight forms of bias and a Job Score that predicts local-market performance across candidate volume, quality, and diversity. Since 2022, more than 10,000 users have edited 170,000 jobs on the platform. The company recently launched Datapeople Anywhere, a browser extension designed to ensure job descriptions are clear, compliant, and inclusive across applicant tracking systems and generative AI–produced postings. Datapeople plans to use new funding to scale its go-to-market function and accelerate delivery of new features and products. Datapeople's core product, “Language Analytics,” scans job postings and offers suggested edits to help attract a more diverse group of applicants. The company is rolling out “Recruiting Analytics,” a new service that provides high-level views of aggregate recruiting efforts and diversity metrics, such as the pace at which postings attract women versus comparable roles. Datapeople sells its language product to in-house recruiting teams at mid-market through Fortune 100 companies. The team says current market tools surface basic recruiting charts but fall short on answering more complex questions about treatment of different groups, which the new product aims to address. Datapeople reported that 2020 was its best year and that Q1 2021 was “awesome.” The startup is early-stage and intends to roughly double its mid-30s headcount to support growth and the new product launch.
