Dayforward is a NYC-based digital life insurance company that offers term life policies designed to ensure a policyholder's family continues to receive income if the policyholder dies. The company uses proprietary technology and an automated underwriting system to let customers complete a simple online application and receive an instant decision at competitive prices. Its policies are reinsured by Munich Re Life US and the product is also available through a growing number of strategic partners. Dayforward raised $25M in funding and intends to use the capital to scale nationwide, continue launching proprietary solutions through partners, and develop new insurance products. The company has launched its life insurance solution in 38 states plus Washington, D.C., with continued national expansion planned throughout 2023. Dayforward also announced the acquisition of Commercial Travelers Life Insurance Company to broaden product lines across life, health, disability, and retirement. The acquisition of the storied carrier (founded in 1883) was announced as being from National Guardian Life Insurance Company upon receipt of all regulatory approvals.
